Hey world!
Welcome to the inaugural post of the JimmyTimeStep Theatreblog.
This blog is dedicated to my passion, love, and addiction to the wonderful world of theatre. Here, you'll find insightful and humorous musings on the world of theatre, from New York all the way to Pittsburgh.
Readers should expect entertaining posts on all kinds of great stuff, such as:
- Reviews, of everything from big Broadway musicals to West Virginia high school musicals.
- Casting ideas, from an aspiring casting director (me!).
- Musings on fun things like YouTube performances, Broadway gossip, and evolving trends in the industry.
- Interviews with professionals in the business.
As for a little background on me - I'm a 24 year-old entertainment professional. I studied directing in college, took a semester off to explore stage management and company management in Edinburgh and Off-Broadway, and have been professionally acting on the non-union circuit for a couple of years. I'm currently living full-time in Pittsburgh for the summer, and hope to relocate to New York (living there for only four months is not enough) and work in casting or artistic administration.
I've been told on several occasions that I have a talent for telling funny stories (you can read some of them at my other blog, http://jimmytimestepstories.blogspot.com), so I hope you find my musings on the theatre world to be entertaining and fun!
Alright, that's all for now. Stay classy.
